What I thought was an easy question turned out to be the most difficult.

Blue. The other side of the spectrum is Blue. Cool blue is perceived as steady, trustworthy and secure. Look up and you see a blue sky. Look beyond the horizon and you see a deep blue ocean. Having said this, blue is a universally well-liked shade. Blue is a favorite among financial institutions because of the image they want to project – dependable, trustworthy and fiscally responsible.

Pink. A subdued Red, if you like, Pink conveys energy, fun and excitement. Pinks are recommended for products involving young girls or young adults. Pink can evoke youthfulness, hence, the idea that it should be for young people – trendy, popular and exciting.

Green. Greens connote freshness, hope and inspiration. Just think about a lush green forest and you will feel calmness enveloping you. For business opting to use Green, they can evoke a feeling of freshness and serenity. Businesses which are into health and wellness are mostly into Green.

Orange. Orange, like the fruit variety, exudes cheerfulness. Walk past a fruit stand and focus on the oranges and you will immediately get the feeling of exuberance, fun and cheerfulness. Research indicates that Orange appeals to businesses that are into beauty and health care.

Black and White are what you call neutral colors. By themselves, they evoke certain feelings. Black for instance conveys elegance, power and drama. Needless to say, Black will work for luxurious products. On the other hand, White convey purity, spirituality, and simplicity. The human eye finds White as a brilliant color so it immediately catches attention. White is light and they are often used for baby products or health and wellness services as well.
